About Us

Helping Houston families navigate senior care

Senior Services of Houston provides geriatric care management for older adults and the families who love them. Our team of licensed social workers and nurses steps in as a knowledgeable guide — assessing needs, coordinating care, advocating with doctors and facilities, and supporting families through every stage of aging.

We are the Houston sister practice of Senior Services of Austin, which has helped Central Texas families navigate senior care for more than a decade. We bring that same proven, compassionate approach to the greater Houston area.

What is a geriatric care manager? Think of us as a professional relative — someone with clinical training and local knowledge who can answer the hard questions: Is it safe for Mom to live alone? Which care community is right for Dad? Who will keep an eye on things when family lives far away?

Dee Dee Diaz LCSW

Director of Houston Operations

Dee Dee earned her Bachelor's degree with a minor in gerontology from Colorado State University and her Master's degree in Social Work from The University of Texas at Austin. Her background includes long-term care, hospital discharge planning, and supporting patients and families through cancer care. Dee Dee brings that depth of experience to Houston families, guiding them through complex care decisions with patience and heart.

Ariel Rosenbaum LCSW-S, C-ASWCM, TxCG

Founder

Ariel received her Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Georgia State University and her Master's degree from the University of Georgia. She established Texas Family Services in 2010, launched Senior Services of Austin in 2013 to provide geriatric care management, and co-founded Practical Care Continuum in 2020 to offer hands-on home care. Ariel now brings more than a decade of care management experience to the greater Houston area.
